What is Sauti ya Jamii Tanzania Foundation?

Sauti ya Jamii Tanzania Foundation is a registered non-governmental organization operating under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act, No. 24 of 2002 (as amended) of the United Republic of Tanzania. Our governance structure includes a Board of Directors, and our leadership is made up of key office bearers: the Chairperson, Executive Secretary, and Treasurer.

We were established to address the economic and social challenges affecting Tanzanians, particularly vulnerable, marginalized, voiceless, underprivileged, or disadvantaged groups — including children, women, and elders. Our mission responds to deep-rooted issues such as extreme poverty, dependence on subsistence farming, and other conditions that hinder economic growth.

Beyond economics, we tackle pressing social concerns like unequal access to quality education, gender-based violence, and educational disparities. We also engage with urgent environmental and human rights issues, including climate change, water scarcity, land degradation, and the neglect of fundamental rights.

Driven by a vision of a just, inclusive, and sustainable Tanzania, Sauti ya Jamii Tanzania Foundation is committed to breaking these cycles of hardship. Through advocacy, community empowerment, and practical solutions, we strive to build stronger, more resilient communities where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

Sauti ya Jamii Tanzania Foundation ni taasisi isiyo ya kiserikali iliyoandikishwa chini ya Sheria ya Mashirika Yasiyo ya Kiserikali Na. 24 ya mwaka 2002 (kama ilivyofanyiwa marekebisho) ya Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania. Muundo wa uongozi wetu unajumuisha Bodi ya Wakurugenzi, na viongozi wakuu wa taasisi wakiwa ni Mwenyekiti, Katibu Mtendaji, na Mweka Hazina.

Ilianzishwa ili kushughulikia changamoto za kiuchumi na kijamii zinazowakabili Watanzania, hususani makundi yaliyo katika mazingira magumu, pembezoni, yasiyo na sauti, au yaliyo katika hali duni — yakiwemo watoto, wanawake, na wazee. Our Objectives

Our objectives aim to create lasting, positive change in health, education, economic empowerment, environment, and social inclusion. We focus on building resilient communities and ensuring every individual—regardless of background—can live with dignity and hope.

1. To promote comprehensive healthcare by ensuring orphans receive healthcare, education, and social support. As well as providing basic needs, psychological care, and legal protection.
2. To advocate community support through mentorship and support roles for orphans and individuals with a disability, by promoting skills training and job place programs for active living.
3. To empower the community economically by unlocking access to resources and training for improving financial independence and stability. Mental health support, social support network.
4. To improve access to social services the elderly have access to healthcare, and social activities as well as safe housing and nutritional support.
5. To Promote sustainable practices by encouraging environmentally friendly practices in all community support programs, promote renewable energy, and promote global cooperation.
6. To Improve waste management through advocating for efficient waste reduction, recycling, and sustainable disposal practices to conserve water resources and ensure access to clean water for all. Learn More
